Strike Up the Fun at Lodi Lanes

Lodi's go-to bowling alley, revitalized under new ownership and rated 4.3 stars by 700+ happy bowlers.

About Us

Sixty frames into your first visit to Lodi Lanes, you'll understand why more than 700 people have left glowing reviews. The pins are flying, the lanes are freshly polished, and the energy inside 58 Terhune Ave feels nothing like the tired bowling alleys you've written off. New owner Michael took the reins and poured real effort into this place, and regulars noticed immediately.

The crowd here is a genuine mix: birthday parties spilling over three lanes, league bowlers who know every quirk of the approach, and first-timers who just wanted something fun to do on a Friday night. That variety is exactly what makes a bowling alley worth keeping in a town. Lodi Lanes is that kind of anchor, a spot where Bergen County locals actually want to spend an evening rather than just kill time.

There's still room to grow, and the ownership knows it. The bones of this place are solid, and the experience on the inside already outpaces what you'd expect from the exterior. Come for the games, stay for the atmosphere, and bring a crowd large enough to fill a few lanes.

What We Offer

Lodi Lanes runs open bowling seven days a week, with lanes available from noon through late night on weekdays and into midnight on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Sunday doors open early at 10 AM, making it the easiest morning-into-afternoon activity in Lodi, NJ.

Beyond open bowling, the facility supports league play for competitive bowlers looking for a regular home. The on-site sporting goods section means you can grab gear, laces, or a new bag without making a separate trip. Group events and birthday parties are a natural fit here, with enough lanes to keep a large crew rolling simultaneously.

The combination of a functioning pro shop, consistent hours, and a staff that's building a better reputation review by review sets Lodi Lanes apart from one-off entertainment options in the area. Whether you're chasing a 200 game or just trying to beat your best friend for the first time, the lanes are ready.

"UPDATE: The owner replied and is dodging responsibility, we never asked to pay at the end, you asked how many games we would like to play, and we said we weren't sure as it was our first time, you then suggested paying at the end. Not sure why you are mentioning how long we were there as it's irrelevant considering we were paying by game not by time. If anything that just proves that I personally witnessed your business be almost completely empty for 4 hours. I work close by and have been asking my customers about their experience at your establishment and have heard nothing but terrible things, such as experiencing price-gouging, hostile/unwelcoming staff, and racism. Fortunately for me I only experienced the first two. Your claim of most other alleys being closed before 2pm is just false, Bowlero Fairlawn opens at 11am, Bowler City opens 10am, Parkway Lanes at 12pm, the list goes on. It may be worth stopping in to some of those alleys to see what makes them so successful that they can be open up to 4 hours earlier than you. This place presents itself as an affordable family fun business, but practices extremely deceptive pricing, on the verge of a scam. Pricing online as well as on the board behind the counter states each game is $6. When we arrived the cashier/owner told us to go ahead and pay after we finished,(foreshadowing). We bowled 6 games, then went up to pay. The owner then told us the total was $85.28, as we had played 12 games. We informed him we only played 6 games as shown on our game board, he then advised it was $6 per person per game and we should have just known that even though there is no signage anywhere suggesting that. The owner then quickly threatened that he would call the police if we didn't want to pay the full amount, which gave the vibe that this problem happens often. We ended up paying the full bill, but it's incredibly bold of a place with no music, nor ambience whatsoever to be charging such high prices. The place was almost completely empty during the entire time we were there so it does make some sense as to why the business may feel the need to resort to deceptive pricing in order to find customers."

"5 stars isn’t enough for Lodi Lanes! I love supporting the locals, and what the new owner of this fine establishment(Michael) has done to the place can not be understated! I haven’t bowled in years, and Michael took his time to make sure I was set up for success. The patience of a saint I tell ya! Thank you Michael for making me feel like a regular customer. 20/20, will return again!"

"i would absolutely love to give more stars because i love this bowling alley more than anything due to joe(the bartender) and rick. however, one of the owner who took over from his father (MIKE the white boy that dresses preppy behind the counter) is the mort disrespectful human being i have ever met. I prefer to support local businesses and family owned locations over big corporations. Mike has made me rethink it all due to his people skills and lack of understanding of his clientele. I will return to drink with JOE AND RICK BUT WILL NOT BOWL AGAIN UNTIL HE IS GONE."
